The Mercer County Farm Bureau is hosting an Anhydrous Ammonia Safety Day on August 19th at the Mercer County Fairgrounds. This will start at 9am under the pavilion closest to the main gate. Gold Star FS is a partner in the Safety Day and Growmark is providing their walk-through Anhydrous Ammonia Tank.
This safety day is for farmers, police, EMS, fire departments, emergency room personnel and anhydrous ammonia retailers. There will be safety training on how to handle anhydrous ammonia, treat burns, approach a spill and other important safety tips when dealing with anhydrous ammonia. With many of these tanks traveling throughout the county and region, we want to make sure everyone knows that correct way to handle any accidents that might happen.
