“I want to thank everyone who has contacted my office to make sure I’m aware of the mix-up that occurred with a few of the mailing names and addresses on the postcard announcing our upcoming Farmland Assessment Seminars. Unfortunately, mistakes sometimes happen, and I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused. We’re working on tracking down the source of the error.
The purpose of the Seminars is to discuss ongoing increases in the assessed value of farmland. The presentations, given by Brenda Matherly, Director of Local Government with Illinois Farm Bureau, will give you a better understanding of how farmland assessments are calculated and their long-term impact.
Please know that despite some mislabeled postcards, everyone interested is invited to attend! Just RSVP to my office or any of the farm bureau offices we’re partnering with.
