Rep. Swanson’s Summer Reading Club for Kids

As your 71st District State Representative, I invite students to participate in my annual “Oceans of Possibilities” Summer Reading Club. Those students who read eight books this summer will receive an official Illinois House of Representatives Certificate of Recognition and an invitation to an ice cream party at the end of the summer.

The Summer Reading Club challenges 1st through 4th graders to read eight books during their summer break. Books for local library programs are also acceptable and books over 150 pages may count for two books.

  1. Once a student completes the book reading, please fill out the form and have a parent or guardian verify that the books were read.
  2. Completed forms can be submitted online, or mailed to State Representative Dan Swanson, 275 N. Division Street, PO Box 173, Woodhull, IL, 61490 on or before July 15, 2023.
  3. Students reading at least EIGHT books this summer will receive an official Illinois House of Representatives Certificate of Recognition and an invitation to an ice cream party at the end of the summer.
