State officials are reminding Illinois hunters that it is illegal to use drones for hunting or the recovery of wildlife.
Using technology during hunts is not new. Illinois’ drone prohibition for hunters was passed in 2015. Two years earlier, lawmakers made it illegal to use drones to harass hunters or anglers.
