Visiting Mercer County SWCD and Warren County 4-H

A few days ago Rep. Norine Hammond and I attended the Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District Annual Meeting. Part of the activities included a demonstration and education about the health of a pond and the fish in the pond. The natural resource team shocked the pond and collected the fish that rose to the top. After collecting 40-50 fish they came over to the shore to discuss each fish specifies and the health of the fish. It was very interesting.

Afterwards I drove to Roseville to attend the Warren County 4-H livestock auction. I “purchased” Cailyn Nelson’s Hereford heifer. 32 4-H members participated in the auction. Attendees were very supportive to the 4-H members opening up their wallet for the benefit of the members.

The rodeo was also a big part of the night’s fair fun. It was nice seeing and talking to so many friends. Great job Warren County committee and 4-H club leaders.
