WQAD: Illinois bill requiring serial numbers on handgun ammo draws skepticism from lawmakers, gun owners

“If it does come to the House floor for a vote, I would certainly be a no,” State Rep. Daniel Swanson, R – Alpha, said. “Most likely, I’m gonna go out on a limb here, but I suspect most guns used in a crime today are not by those with a FOID card. They’re sold, purchased underground or stolen or whatever the case may be, and I suspect that ammunition would go the same way.”
